What have I just witnessed? That was the best episode EVER.
Suika the goat realizing how Senku must have felt at the start was absolute peak.
There is literally nothing else to say, it was just perfect.
I've literally been waiting for this episode since I read the manga. It's definitely one of the most impactful and critical moments of the story, truly beginning the finale of the story.
The anime did this moment wonders. Animation, soundtrack, voice actors, everything was exactly how I wanted it to be.
Will there be anything unexpected per-se in terms of time passing?
I wouldn't really say so. All I'll say is that the next episode (and possible the one after) will be a solo Suika adventure to regain revival fluid, and the time that passes then is the necessary time for said adventure. It's not gonna jump at you like "oh yeah like a decade passed and Suika is older and found revival fluid blah blah blah" next episode. Might have spoiled too much so sorry if I did.
Suika cleaned the place up nice for a girl her size, like damn. Built a hut up in the tower and figured out which fruits are edible.
We don't really get a timeframe for how long it's been since both the light and how long Suika has survived alone. A couple of years pass based on the dog aging and I'm just going to assume that all happens before her revival.
Stanley (or any of his men for that matter) could've easily reached Suika and took her place instead of debating whether to shot or not, the 3 jumping on him to stop him made 0 sense when Stanley's men been shooting everyone at first sight and when Stanley easily overpowers them, and even Xeno could've made it...
And I hate how the show shied away from showing Suika side getting shot down and overall the action early on was quite disappointing.
This episode also made realize no one truly aged despite it being years since Senku first woke up, at least Suika out of all should be taller by now, not even the puppy aged since Suika left Japan for time long enough for him to age... lol talking about pre-petrification of course! And how come the petrification didn't fix her eyes?!
Ups and downs of the episode and the show overall aside, it's mental for a kid to be left alone in the world tasked with reviving everyone and I'm guessing she'll have to make revival fluid from scratch on her own?!
I just hope she won't be extremely old when everyone's back. Where's Senku in her imagination anyways?! lol

thats also what I'm wondering...how did the petrification didn't fix her eyes but can heal multiple wounds is beyond me. Any manga readers that can explain perhaps?
Preterification fixes structural damages, like broken bones, cut off arms, cancer... It's like a reset button. Suika was born with bad eyesight, so it wouldn't work.
The "stopping Stanley" situation (I think) wasn't a 1:1 time frame. It was so long for us because we saw every possible perspective on it, but in reality, it happened in seconds.
They didn't change their appearance to drop the news of the two years, to make it more impactful.
