It feels like there is going to be an enormous cliffhanger at the end of the next episode ...

I hope Kafka goes wild one last time next week but yeah I also see it ending on a huge cliffhanger.
Kaiju have appeared simultaneously in various parts of Tokyo! Narumi's 1st Unit and Mina's 3rd Unit are dispatched, but the situation does not remain in Tokyo; monsters have begun attacking important facilities all over Japan. The only ones to face this unprecedented "swarm disaster" are elites who can operate identified monster weapons and young, well-trained forces - the time has come for the new Japan Defense Force, which carries on Isao's will, to take action!

chillingly. chillingly good battle scenes. ah, im happy again. tbh this replaces the solo leveling battle exhilaration with something that has a better story so im more than happy here.
How is there only 1ep left?!?! I feel the big cliffhanger that will make me so mad coming... I guess they will announce S2 part 2 or S3 next week. I hope the next season will release winter or spring 2026.

Same, I love these types of dynamics with a character that has a talking weapon/armor, one of the things I love so much with Fate and Greed from Berserk of Gluttony
I wish we could see more of No. 8 though. Getting tired of animes abandoning their title character for the side cast. Like, I get it, logically it's risky to have him go Kaiju mode since he can be detected, and story wise they're saving him for the big fight at the end that'll make all the buildup worth it... but I really wanna see more of Kafka decimating the competition.
It feels like this season was 6 episodes. The animation was really lackluster except this episode. A disappointing season in my opinion. Suffered heavily from what I assume is the original pacing of the story.
