Couldn't possibly end an anime about minerals without an onsen episode :-D
As always, steam got in the way though, too bad. Maybe in the Blu-rays...
Nagi's expression in this scene was super foxy, this is dangerous.

I can't believe Imari brought microscopes to an onsen lol. That girl is always thinking about her work. But thanks to her, they were able to do some space geology while on vacations so that's pretty cool.
And the night sky looked gorgeous with all the twinkling stars...

Worries about the future was also a big part of this episode. Be it about finding a job, deciding on a path toward the future and just the eventual end of fun times.

But Ruri managed to take a positive outlook on all of this and focused on the fact that a fun thing ending means the beginning of a new fun thing. It really felt like a message to the viewers who have to deal with the end of a great anime.

The end felt too conclusive for a 2nd season, especially with that last shot of future Ruri... But I'd be more than happy if they made one!
This was a perfect mix of CGDCT and education. Always fun, always instructive and always gorgeous. And it also did a great job conveying the wonders of science in general.
