She is back!
Of course they are just goofing off lol.
Terryfying a
The story is as great as ever. And Goofy.
It feels great to have this show back!First ep animation makes me scared for the fights...
Well its the same studio who gave us season 2 so expect to be disappointed again......... Idk why they allowed J.C.Staff to do it again. Honestly I didn't even know it was them doing this season again but after seeing that just killed all my hype for this season lol
Season 2 had some incredibly well animated fights though, Kenichiro Aoki cooked throughout Season 2 and he's working on Season 3, not all hope is lost
The guy sure can draw, but a single talent can only very rarely salvage a production on their own. Insiders are saying that the production is cooked, but this of course doesn't mean that there can't be some well-animated scenes
@das he wasn't the only one who carried it as they had still others helping
I understand that we wouldn't get fights in the first episode but for such a heavy exposition dump portion they could have at least adapted it in an engaging way. What we got is the most flavourless, by the book approach you could ask for that even managed to butcher the comedic timing, which was the last thing I wanted to nail since even when the fights fail there could be some moments of laughter... but not here.
i kinda don't like how art changed, makes me sad (inner voice: why, even though the studio is same) especially those weird face proportions like how long atomic samurai's face got, also feels like most characters are wearing a wig, and saitama's face, why do I feel like it changes every frame... or is it just me, also I feel his face got squashed!
that definitely was an episode- kinda boring exposition dump but it's setting stuff up for next episode so it's fine-
Visually the characters look great honestly- it's just lacking animation / interesting direction with some of the dialogue scenes. But, if they're saving the animation budget for the fights and action, then it's totally understandable.
One of the worst OPM episodes I've seen, drawing is just terrible, fans' productions look better than this.
Still frames with little to no animation, bigger than ever black outlines, distorted faces, etc.

Completely agree. Already at the very beginning there are scenes with frozen people (Hero Association HQ) and just audio for several seconds.
In another scene Garou looks deformed while walking; it reminds of the cutout animations by Terry Gilliam in Monty Python...
It doesn't become good animation just by drawing ticker lines...
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Episode full of still frames and that one time where someone is a walking on screen, it looks like absolute ass.
As we saw in the trailer, the fight scenes are not going to be any good either.
As the Director said himself, he was clearly not qualified for this anime production.
This is beyond disappointing.
Read the Manga instead.
I really hate the downgrade in the animation compared to S1, even to S2, which was "okay" but this one is just horrible considering this studio has better works out there, it feels like they only know how to draw faces, but when it comes to body anatomy, it's disgustingly bad, NOT EVEN the opening survived how bad this animation is, I've seen better opning in those shity Isekai anime than this.
