Yuri was deceived by Gina's cuteness. Don't trust anyone! RIP Yuri (again)
You just gotta love how the lights first turn on green and then quickly switch to red. Humanity can travel far into space but didn't manage to build better lights than that :'D
Ling Tosite Sigure is a fitting choice for the ED
Also, in this timeline SQ assumes Setsu is a man but in the "original" timeline she calls Setsu a woman.
I already suspected Jina here since at the meeting she said she would vote for SQ but during the actual voting process she voted for Setsu. Her goal was to eliminate the person closest to Yuri to make him feel all alone. Then she would come in and gain his trust so they would vote for the same person together. She would then eliminate one person during the warp and the mission is complete.
Setsu gave Yuri some good advice here. He was too anxious and eager during the meetings which caused Setsu's demise since Setsu tried to cover for him. He needs to observe more and think about his actions before speaking up. He also needs to conceal his meek personality because it's making him an easy target for the Gnosia to manipulate.
Jina was able to manipulate Yuri too easily here but I can't really blame him. This was all planned out quite well by Jina.
Lmao I wasn't expecting LeVi to have this sort of reaction. I thought she was just an AI but she seems to have an actual personality. This either means she's a super advanced AI that is able to mimic human emotions or she's a living being herself. I'm leaning towards the latter because she confirmed that she does exist somewhere on the ship when Yuri asked her.
Racio's explanation is really important information for Yuri here. At least now he knows that every loop has that possibility of being completely different than the previous one. How he's gonna use that information will be key.
I wonder if this "effect" is one of Yuri's powers now. Is he able to ascertain if someone's lying? Technically Jina told the truth because she is human but you have to read between the lines. She's a human that's been infected with the Gnosia disease. Or maybe being infected by the Gnosia makes you no longer human in which case she was in fact lying.
SQ dropping an absolutely cold line that Yuri should keep in mind as well. Preconceptions cloud your judgement and it can often times lead you down the wrong road.
It was pretty easy to guess Jina was the Gnosia this time around but I suspect next episode will be a lot harder.
Absolute banger of an ending. I'm so excited for next week's episode to see what these new characters are like. The girl came rushing in and said she adores Yuri so it seems like they know each other well. Yuri obviously doesn't remember her because of his amnesia. Is she a friend or foe? Is she making all of this up? Is Yuri being manipulated again by the Gnosia?

All I know is I trust alien bro
So each loop is different - that was obvious.
But based on the ending - are Yuri and Setsu the only ones that are constant? I mean I think the alien and the... lesbian?... replaced Racio and SQ. The ending has many characters so they may get replaced with each loop.
Unless they are just adding more characters.
I'll be honest - the opening and ending sound meh as of now. I need to watch more to get more attached and hear these songs more. TK won't save this beat for now.
Also the animation - amazing. The character acting is so expressive. It's so fun to look at. The art and character design (especially SQ - I am not ashamed to say that) are great as well.
Not sure about the anime but in the game no one is constant except the player. Later in the game, you can actually manipulate the number of NPCs.
I saw this and your other comment. Is this game a visual novel with dating? Or is this like Among Us?
This sounds interesting - I may play the game actually.
Maybe visual novel with different story paths? I would appreciate if you outlined the game.
I thought it was something like werewolf at the first dozens of loop but after a few hundred I found out it’s a sci-fi dating ADV. you have to date all genders and all species to understand the whole story.
I heard enough I am satisfied!
The game is on sale, hmm... I have to think it through. Really unique artstyle though (the game).
[Nothing of value later in this post - if I am breaking the rules tell me and I will edit this]
I played many visual novels but nothing that was a bigger game. I only played NSFW VNs from itch.io. I told somebody how I play them for the story and they looked at me like I'm stupid (fixed it!)...
I always ended with cummy ache after playing them for hours cause I really played for progression. I wonder how intersting Gnosia is.
ADV has more to offer than R18. If you’ve never heard of/tried Stein;gates, please consider give it a try. The booming era of ADV was ten more years ago when PSP/PSV was still a big thing in Japan. Gnosia is pretty good and I would also recommend 13 Sentinels, which was released in the same year.
Honestly as someone who has gone through the whole game I'd still say its more werewolf coded than dating sim. Sure there's like ppl who you will be closer to like Setsu always waking you up, but because of the loop and the Gnosia changing its hard to call it a dating sim since each playthrough is pretty quick. Watching the anime, I actually found it more romance coded than the game, since I genuinely thought the info you find out about everyone is more related to their personality/background/stuff you learn about your friends. That being said some people are naturally more flirty like SQ, and the game has options you choose in order to gain other people's trust (so its more like Among Us with NPCs).
Setsu warned him not to trust anyone, but he still walked straight into Gina’s honey trap. Hard to blame him though, she really does seem kindhearted. Hayamin character (Stella) showing up at the end, pretty sure she's voicing LeVi as well. The VA lineup is just ridiculous.
Ling Tosite Sigure never disappoints. That said, the OP still wins it for me with that stacked lineup. Good stuff nonetheless.
ive started playing the game since the first ep, im pretty early in i think but i gotta say so far this adaptation is genius
Same lol I immediately bought the game after the first episode. I'm still in the early loops, but it's been fun so far. Both the game and the anime.
It's nice to see their world lines explanation of why the loops changes every time. In the game, the protagonist never really questioned it since we immediately jump in the middle of the loop. It made me confused why there were suddenly more people after a certain loop with no explanations, so it's nice hearing a lore explanation to the gameplay mechanic.
not to blame yuri too much for their second failure, but did bro seriously see jina's aura warping and still decided to vote for sq lol
i would be unable to make myself vote for alien guy, even if he was the gnosia
I'd have made the same choice. Mostly because I wouldn't believe the weird explanation about shifting timelines.
Also, for all I know, the aura warping could be an indication of telling the truth, not lying. And if Jina wanted to, she could have killed him on the space walk, then killed someone during the warp, then killed the third person, no voting required.
With this choice, Yuri gained a lot of valuable info: the Gnosia can change, and the aura warping indicates lying.
I wouldn't believe the weird explanation about shifting timelines
i don't see why raqio would have lied here - if they were the gnosia, they would be happy to keep the focus on sq.
for all I know, the aura warping could be an indication of telling the truth
that's a good point.
if Jina wanted to, she could have killed him on the space walk, then killed someone during the warp, then killed the third person, no voting required
here i don't fully get the underlying game logic. if yuri died with her on the space walk, that would make her suspect. the others could have called for an express vote to kick her out. though if the ai forces you to vote only at specific points of time for some reason, jina would have succeeded (in which case, i don't know why she didn't do it)
"ship has a pod to scan you to see if you're healthy and can make a workout or rehab routine for you"
"It can't scan for the infection"
"ship can scan to see if there's an infected on board"
"ship can't pin point source of infection despite thousands of ways to do it which would be easy for an AI"
i like this show but some of this logic is dumb as hell :/
yay, new folks! also, its crazy how stupid our main character is like dear lord
Can't really blame them though, they're assuming SQ is the Gnosia based on last time and if someone made sure to save me on a space walk I'd believe them. Like if you were Gnosia, you lose me in space. The whole I feel queasy when Gina lies to me was a facepalm moment though, but yeah playing the loops its easy to fall into traps (you just don't feel as stupid since you're doing the logic instead of watching Yuri LOL)
So saori hayami play both LeVi and the new girl from this episode. I would be surprised if both doesnt have any connection at all. Also, early random guess, the person who gave setsu the power which they mention in episode 1 was yuri. They love to do a full circle moment in this type of time loop series at least from my experience
I'm 4ish hours into the game. In not a single situation so far the characters have left the spaceship like Gina and Yuri did in this episode.
I think them leaving the spaceship isn't a good idea, and it creates some possible logic incoherences.
For example, if Gina left the ship during that time, wouldn't Levi just identify that there isn't a Gnosia on board anymore? They could simply get one member outside the ship at a time to see who is the Gnosia.
I can figure out a reason as something along the lines of "it's a thing in the air that stays for several hours, so taking the Gnosia out of the ship for a while wouldn't give any change of result". But still...
I really liked the world building they are setting up and every character so far is really well done. However, I wish they had refrained from playing the OP until after this episode as it made it pretty trivial to piece together that there are 1) Multiple Gnosia and 2) the reveal and the end of the episode that more people show up. Obviously this isn't a series wide issue and the episode is still good (I forgot to break halfway to take a shower :p).
The ambiance of floating on this ship to nowhere continues to excite me a lot
