[Spoilers] My Hero Academia Final Season - Episode 5 Discussion

The episode was intense, with a lot of fighting between Deku and Shigaraki.
Shigaraki even managed to steal and use the "Danger Sense" against Deku.

The two of them ended up near Mount Fuji, and the risk of triggering an eruption was huge.
Even when everyone’s against him, Deku has this thing about never giving up on people (including Shigaraki), which even surprised the previous One For All users.

Now there’s a complicated plan: to attack Shigaraki “from the inside” through some kind of One For All transfer, and failing at this point would be extremely risky.
And Deku’s look at the end of the episode was badass.

Final mode unlocked.

I'm kinda getting finale fatigue. Big shounen fights like this where they shout and glow on various featureless wastelands always seem to blur together.

Each episode just keeps getting more intense and never disappoints. Every time a new one drops, my emotions are all over the place.

I'm confused when did they get on the ground/sea?

Last episode was the fight between Bakugou & All For One and Mydoria/Shigaraki were still in a deadlock in the air nearby but this episode starts with a flashback about how they can't let Shigaraki touch the ground and then suddenly the city is being swallowed by water?

Had to double check and make sure I didn't somehow miss an episode, I don't get it, did they just skip it?.

You can tell Horikoshi's burnout was in full effect around this time. He pushed through the Bakugo vs AFO fight and then just started throwing shit at the wall here. Stuff just stops making sense, characters (Midoriya) doing things that feel incredibly forced for the sake of the narrative outcome he wanted to end with. At least we had our absolute peak this season with BakuGOAT
