Episode took a somewhat different turn than I expected. Anya is forever doomed to know too much but be forced to "act" dumb.

I was not expecting the sad background story to hit out of nowhere. What the hell man...

Must hurt like hell.

She again wasn't joking.

These episodes are getting so good. I was not expecting a backstory for the guy, but it was really good.

I’m super excited for the next episodes! I really want to see Anya being praised for being so brave.

This really was a light-hearted take on a terrorist/hostage situation. I was expecting either Lloyd or Yor to come save the day, but Anya had it handled in her own chaotic way. How is Yor going to react to this?

imo best ep this season (fall anime 25) so far (admittedly though, it is a pretty weak season-- still really great ep though.).

This episode had everything, and Billy’s actions were understandable given what happened to his daughter, but he was lost and confused. Just seeing Anya’s determination made him realize his mistake and do the right thing. Anya totally owned this episode in her clumsy way lol.

  I think OP is referring to what happened to the daughter. You might also wanna look into June 17, 1953 in the GDR, as the whole setting with Ostania, Westalis and the secret police is definitely rooted in GDR/FRG history (former East and West Germany)

This arc did a really good job at conveying it's message, might be my favourite so far.

Although this episode had funny and cool moments of Anya, I couldn't help but feel really shitty for Billie. I thought they were coping out with making the neck bombs fake but I take back my words on that from the previous episode. Them showing Billie's daughter in the morgue was unexpected. Usually they just reference someone who died but actually showing the body hit harder. Especially as we got to see a bit more of who she was. I thought it was really beautiful the way Billie said that he would refuse letting his daughter die a second time. That was beautifully executed. I really hope Billie doesn't die because the secret police questioned him enough and decided he just happened to die in prison or something. I hope he gets out at some point and raises his voice in a way that would make his daughter proud

The episode was very emotional, and like the entire series, this episode in particular reflects the current political situation in the real world
