Well.
Even with the most positive look on this episode and season as a whole I can't help but feel like I wasted quite some time on this for what exactly?
The story somewhat progressed with the main character barely being mentioned just a couple of times. Lucky to have seen him in this last episode. Then something with the monster org and a few bad fights...
All for it to end on a cliffhanger with the threat of more to come... And worst of all, I would probably still watch it just to check.
What a disappointing season I feel sorry for everyone who had to work on this.
Again a disappointment, I thought that they would at least level up the animation for the very last fight, which involved Saitama, which involved his punch, but no, it was still shit, the only episode that had decent animation was the Flash one, which was very good, otherwise, my god what the hell happened. Zero hype for the next season, but I'm obligated to watch it since I'm reading the manga and it would be a waste not to watch it's adaptation, at least that is how I think about this.
I'm usually just an anime kinda guy. So being utterly disappointed half way through, I decided to at least watch it to the end. It was so hard. And given how disappointing of a last episode this was I will refrain from watching the anime.
I don't read manga, I don't enjoy it as much as just watching the anime, however I really do enjoy One Punch Man. So from here on out I will pick up the manga. Never been this disappointed in over 12 years of watching anime. Blue Lock Season 2 was better than this shit.
Season 3 honestly felt like “one frame man,” with nearly 90% of the episodes relying on PPT-level animation. Episode 8 was the only genuinely good one, and it felt like the last episode they properly finished animating. The colouring was decent, but the fights were extremely underwhelming for a series built around action, easily a 4/10. The season was also full of inconsistencies like sudden character design changes, odd haircut swaps, and PNG-like assets, which clearly point to rushed production. While the fanservice was handled well and the opening and ending were genuinely good, none of that was enough to save the season. Overall, it felt poorly managed and disappointing, earning a 5/10, and I really hope Bandai never handles this series again.

Everyone here has officially survived the anime adaptation of One Punch Man's third season. Congratulations to everyone. I've been waiting a long time for the showdown between Orochi and Saitama, and it even thrilled me a bit. It ended so quickly, but that was to be expected. It seems like without Orochi and with Gyoro Gyoro having a tough time against Tatsumaki, the mysterious beings are quickly approaching their end, at least as a group. The episode ended abruptly after Orochi's defeat, and that left me a bit disoriented. I really wish there was a fourth season, but if they want to make one, they'd have to change practically everything. There's very little left to salvage from this third season (except for the opening and ending, which I liked).
Well I guess there's no use for me to complain since everyone has done that for me. I do have to confess that watching it in one go probably helped with the tolerance but it is really unfortunate to see the state of what OPM has become. I hope they decide to create a remake/fix version in the near future as a form of apology but I won't get my hopes up. It baffles me that this was accepted in Japan. I know in the end most anime studios do not care for opinions that are outside of Japan but surely the Japanese people aren't blind to seeing the quality being dropped?
Also I forgive the studio for not adding the retcons that I keep reading in the previous forum posts since there's no way to add that last minute. Why the heck are there even retcons to begin with? I thought the manga was based on a webcomic so how can the manga create retcons? That's a bit weird. I might reread this whole season in the manga to compare. Anyways, considering cour 2 won't be out until 2027, I assume that means they have more time since cour 2 usually are released way earlier.
When they slandering your goat but they lowkey right.
still love jc staff they have produced countless bangers (Toradora, Saiki, Hi Score Girl, 2.5d, Golden Time, Pet Girl, Maid Sama, Danmachi, ect.)
but this season of opm is just not it idk why the animation and story telling was so dissapointing to say the least they did good on s2.
