His Majesty, Norgalle, is so goated. This cast of characters for this series is great.
This was a cool episode, but did I miss something?
They go in for an extraction mission and then just set up shop and defend against endless waves of baddies instead of... you know... trying to extract out of there?
I think it's hard to extract anyone out of there when the enemy could be coming at any moment from any direction. I think more lives would have been lost if they just grabbed everyone and hauled ass out of there. I think you can't run and defend at the same time with a bunch of inexperienced-to -fighting miners.
Amazing ep
Xylo, His Majesty, and Tatsuya really did an amazing job carrying the group.
Clutch save by Teoritta.
Love how Xylo wants Teoritta to think for herself, even if she herself wants to be used by Xylo for protection.
Ngl, when I first saw His Majesty, I thought bro would continue to pretend that he's a king and be useless. Then, in ep2, he's enhancing tools for the (his) men, and in ep3, he sacrifices his leg and (pretend) honor as a king to "actually" do something king-like, which is to fight with his men. Truly a real definition of a king. Bro arguably my favorite character already.
Those townspeople still fake asl, but thankfully the little girl and her family were real ones to thank them.
Looks like Teoritta finally got her praise and thankfully Kivia locked in for once, and stopped that fraudulent priest from unjustly punishing them for nothing.
The staff on this definitely looked troublesome, but it still got the job done. Animation was great and effects were glorious, especially the blue flames. Quite scared for what happened to the production, if there is alr sum hiccups, tho I feel that staff was able to pull thru.
10/10
Xilo: "That sound doesn't seem to have an effect on his mind!"
Me: "Guess losing your mind does have some advantages to it."
That priest guy, or whatever he is, really pisses me off, he sits there sheltered and in no danger at all while the heroes do hero stuff and after they succeed he goes all pissy and wants to...punish them for saving lives I guess? Honestly that side jab at him from Kivia was so satisfying, she is low key goated for that!
Best episode so far. King Norgalle is a absolute giga chad, my favorite character in this series so far and it's really nice to see that there are people in this series who have some common sense. "Even if you're criminals, you saved us. If it weren't for you, we would have died. We should be grateful." FINALLY! Someone in this series is talking sense. XD
Seriously, who cares if someone is a criminal or not? If you survived, that's what matters most to you. Good thing these miners have enough common sense to understand this, unlike the knights in the first episode. Speaking of knights, these guys are completely useless right now. They're either a nuisance or need rescuing, and then they'll complain about you. Seriously, why are you even here? At least the Captain has become a bit wiser and has come to the conclusion that if someone saves people, they can probably be given a little slack.
The series is looking better so far than it looked in the first episode, I hope it continues like this
Clarifying question for ln readers: did Norgalle end up dying and they meant "finding a new leg" as in to attach to his body for when he gets resurrected given we've been told they need someone's corpse to revive heroes, or as in Norgalle will be healed and just needs a new leg because healing doesn't just create new limbs in this setting?
Is the hero's consciousness the only thing that gets brought back upon revival? Given we were told the body doesn't need to be the hero's does their consciousness just get implanted into the new body or does the body take the shape of their original if it's not theirs?
No need to answer parts of the questions if they're part of some important later reveal, the main thing is whether Norgalle did die or not
Well, I’ve officially suffered through the three-episode rule, and I can say for sure: this is trash. The characters are paper-thin, especially the edgy MC. There’s zero plot, just a constant "look how dark and gritty our world is" vibe that feels like peak teenage angst. The fights and enemies are boring as hell. Those exploding daggers are such a cheap, lazy shortcut—zero impact, zero satisfaction. They clearly only exist so Youtube reactors can act like "Wow, what an explosion!" while the studio saves money on actual choreography.
This episode's animation tanked to One Slide Man levels, if not worse. The fights are just moving slideshows. 90% of the rest is just static images with a moving mouth, a character sliding across a background, or just slow pans over still frames with some voiceover.
Honestly, just bury it. This is a total train wreck.
Dropping this 4/10 trash with zero regrets.
Another fantastic episode, and a very important one cause now I can gladly say that I deeply enjoy the characters! Norgalle is absolutely awesome, but also more love should be shown to Tatsuya cuz he also popped OFF this episode!! That man is a total demon, I loved the moment where he got all buff when he was pulling on that Vine and overall the action here may be the best so far, it felt like the stakes were higher and the character moments throughout shined alot!! I also enjoyed seeing the Captain begin to turn around on Xylo a little bit and respect him more!
