Damn, so we don't get a conclusion to Dabura vs Mahoraga :( A lot of complicated stuff was explained here, but the gist of it, as I understood it, is that cursed energy is too natural a thing for living beings to produce to attempt to get rid of it fully, but doing so in part could at least greatly reduce the number of cursed spirits. To rectify even the possibility of the remaining cursed spirits from attacking humans Marulu and Cross and co. will change everyone's souls to the same colour so cursed spirits (who are evil, but don't often attack each other), will treat humans as allies, the same way kalyans treat rumelians. Let me know if I'm completely off the mark.
I think you got it, but I don’t understand the risk/harm being done by changing the souls of humans. And it feels like we skipped a scene with Marulu ending the fight. Like shouldn’t Maharaga’s ritual still be going on if it wasn’t destroyed?
Technically what they're doing isn't that different to what Mahito used to do, they're just trying to keep the shape of the soul, so any mistake could be disastrous. But also they mentioned before about how invasive the act is and is being done without consent, so even if it goes well it's not an honourable thing to be doing.
Yeah, it feels like we missed a chapter where Marulu stops Dabura's fight, presumable by helping which is why he was allowed access to the black rope, and at the same time grabbed Yuji into the soul plane.
I'm thinking maybe Mahoraga hasn't been beaten yet. And it may be one of those scenarios where Yuji takes Dabura's place such that it seems instantaneous. Time may flow differently in this soul place after all. Since the manga was mentioned to be up to 30 chapters, perhaps we'll see Yuji take care of Mahoraga. I'm not the best at speculation but uuuh, this is what the chapter left me thinking.
