What an interesting and perplexing episode. I was quite confused during Moegi's backstory but it feels like it was intentionally obscure, not just because of light novel omissions.
So after they met in a game, Kyara apparently allowed Moegi to move in with her in her uhhh... abandoned liminal space shopping mall compound.
Moegi seemed both enchanted by and constantly terrified of her? Her familial situation must have been truly horrific to prefer Kyara's company.
She scares the shit out of me too. Ngl it took me way too long to realize she is actively playing in this game, I noticed a girl looking like her among the ticklers but I didn't 100% realize until the end, whereupon I went back to confirm it. Bone chilling realization. Now it makes sense that "Candle Woods" acquired such an infamous reputation. I was wondering how it could get that bad when Team Stumps seemed destined to get swept. Turns out it's just the presence of this demon
Some parallelism going on between Yuki and her rule of 30 friend with their overly intimate tickle-fight embrace and the much more sinister Kyara/Moegi dynamic
Last thing, this shit really confused me with Moegi's hand covered in the censorship fuzz. Because that scene appeared to be taking place in the real world, no? I thought the censorship thing only occurred because of some technology used during the death games. Just a choice of artistic presentation?
Boring ep
Lol, she got taken by the boogey man or sum.
Bruh, it's just tickling.
Ngl, Moegi's backstory was boring to me, for sum reason. Tho, basically Kyara was Moegi's beacon of light and the one that showed her the beauty of killing.
Interesting, who is coming got Moegi shaking in her boots, lmao.
6.5/10
Good episode. It was nice seeing Moegi's backstory. She was trying to be like kyara, but there are somethings in life you can't just train and study to be like. Kyara is batshit insane, Moegi isn't as we see throughout this episode. The reveal that Kyara was actually on the bunny side and doesn't give af and just starts killing was good. Ngl im upset at myself for not clocking it at the tickling scene. I litterally question why they kept on the screen the last girl tickling, It all clicked for me when yuki's mentor talked about a bunny being a manic. I can't believe there's only 2 episodes left. I really hope we get another season!
I'm kinda surprised to see so many people didn't immediately recognize Kyara from the tickling scene when she was introduced in Moegi's backstory bit. They had the camera linger on her a fair bit
Also this episode did an excellent job making me feel like I was just about to put the pieces together and figure out all the cryptic shit it was doing, but never letting me actually do so
This anime is so special in so many ways. In one moment its basically just a still frame for 40 sec straight and I think Im dying because of boringness and in the next moment I cant stop watching it and Im totally catched. Started watching it yesterday and I had to watch it until now in every free minute i had. Damn im so sad that I have to wait for another episodes as well as Im super sad that there are only 2 episodes left.
