Then he announced that we're now going to speedrun giving this manga the most unsatisfying ending of all time.

Either we're getting a horrible ending, or there's going to be a part 3 that absolutely shouldn't exist and just further milks the series. There's no way a part 3 is going to feel appropriate here imo unless it's extraordinarily short, this has been such a mess since part 1.
