[Spoilers] Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 - Episode 10 Discussion

I almost forgot about this fight because there is too much peak this arc. So seeing Megumi finally use his Domain Expansion again suprised me. His season 1 moment with his domain is still one of my favorites in all of JJK so next episode is gonna be even better i just know it.

This was a really well-paced episode with some of my favourite action shots so far in this season.
Megumi's Domain Expansion was really cool to see again, as I'd honestly forgotten about it.

Megumi fans need to savour these two episodes, this is unfortunately his last fight

Hopefully will not see too much of this "funny" guy.
Even if I'm not a battle shonen fan anymore I just have to say that I really appreciate how the fights are in this anime...not dragged out for over a year (one piece) or talking for multiple episodes (idk...maybe naruto).

Takaba's entrance was so damn cool, and the chase scene with Reggie was especially impressive. Overall - another great episode with a lof of good storyboards and sequences.

And yes, this is the best frame of the third season, no competition.

This episode feels really good coming off the last. In episode nine, the lighting was symbolic, showing Higarumas' change. All but I think the brighter light in this episode made it far better, as well as all the extra stuff we got for Megumi Vs Reggie. I do not remember him ever summoning that big of a max elephant or throwing part of a building with rabbit escape. Overall, this episode was amazing all the fighting was choreographed well, and they did make it funny and serious, which I appreciate.

Bro why is the german translation of Chimera Shadow Garden so lame? The german version is called "Schattengarten-Gefäß" which pretty much translates to Schadow Garden Vessel

I couldn't breathe during Takaba's scenes they were so funny, I was howling when he did the Kancho. This episode was nothing short of epic.
Megumi fighting chicken-little was really cool especially to see chicken little's cursed technique. Also Megumi literally became Toji in that one scene where he's basically rejecting that girl. I did not expect that Megumi would kill someone though so that was very interesting to see. I'm so excited to see Megumis domain Expansion in the next episode it's gonna be totally amazing!

Another really good episode. Reggies powers is really cool, I thought it was just he was able to recreate the items from receipts, but that the fact that he is able to recontextualize the purpose of the receipt makes it broken af.

and holy shit fumihiko was so funny. I was dying at just the whole 30 seconds of no one acknowledging his existence after his entrance. I already want a jjk spinoff of just him and megumi. Animation wise, jjk is still going hella strong.

Ik it was intentional but my head canon was just that mappa couldn't handle Fumihiko so the animation became that just for that one moment lol

In today's episode, Megumi really showed us he has a lot of POTENTIAL

Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Games #10 "Tokyo No.1 Colony Part 4" (7/10)

I still don’t understand how Takaba’s technique works. I suppose it’s simply whatever he thinks is funny becomes reality? Either way, probably the strongest cursed technique in the series. I also wonder if the subs could’ve butchered the jokes; comedy often works in Japanese only, and translations are better off replacing them with a localized joke, usually. When disregarding Remi, I thought the CR subs also failed to properly convey what Megumi actually said: he didn’t say she’s all talk; rather, he meant that she only cares about talk instead of what people actually do (such as saving her or getting her in danger). It’s also the first time we see Megumi killing someone, ironically right after leaving the child's room. I like the OST choice to convey a sense of ominousness. He’s starting to spiral. On the production side of things, this episode used a lot of 3D, and while I love it in the parkour sequences, such as the one animated by Masahiro Tokumaru, I have to say the 3D explosions looked very silly. Even more out of place than in Demon Slayer S4E8. But this doesn’t take away from the fact that this episode delivers incredibly strong on this busy setpiece that makes use of the battle royale potential that's innate to the culling games. Some other standout sequences are the ones from Julian Bentley, Shinya Kaneko, and Obrian Bennie. And while I’m sure there are still some rough spots in terms of polish, none of them distracted me from the experience.
