Why does this have 1000 chapters listed?

On MAL the chapter title is unknown for some reason but here it's listed as 1000. On several manga reading websites the chapter count is at 34 so perhaps that is the correct count.

The reason for us stating it is a 1000 chapters is because the strip was originally published in a newspaper, where a page was published per day. In total there were a 1000 pages so we counted each of them separately.
