I LOVE HER
Wish-fulfilment levels are rising:D but I enjoyed it a fair bit, i love that mc is not whining and whimpering constantly and the main girl kinda fun, that teacher is trash tho:D
I always don't get these complaints about wish fulfillment, yes about 50-80% of fiction will have some level of wish fulfillment in it, because that's literally what fiction is for, you can do and show thinks that would never, or almost never happen in real life. How boring would fiction be if it just simply mirrored reality, we watch/read this shit to escape reality and not be thrown back into it lol
Anyway, the teacher? Heck yeah, when she was put off by MCs answer I just went "Oh, come on, don't be like that!"
Liked it. My big issue is really just how it looks; I'd say the character designs look off at time for me and I'm not a fan of like how the characters look bright or the lighting on them looks(What I'm referring to is there looks like a glare on their designs at certain points, feels very distracting). Overall, a good episode, like the main girl, she is cute and honestly, I love the fact that both MCs just are together because they share the same interest and it looks like she might help get Maehara out of his comfort zone. Also, the image above, when she said this, I died laughing. Never have I seen a slice of life anime say this before LMAO. Also, the small section with the text message was really cute as well. Asangi dressed up like Shark was really cute in that section.
For me as a long-time follower of the manga, the shift in art style between manga to anime took a bit to get used to. I saw the MC and for a moment questioned if I opened up the correct anime. Not complaining but (this is just me) the manga art style often makes me forget the characters are in high school and not middle school. Idk everyone felt short and baby-faced to me with the manga. The manga art also felt more darker shaded so the jump to brighter colors in the anime did give me some whiplash.
Finally, a great adaptation of my favorite manga! It’s so good.
Do they start dating in the manga? If so, will it be shown in the anime?
Actually, it starts a little earlier. Umi confesses her feelings to Maki around chapter 17 in the manga, and in the meantime, certain "couple moments" happen, you could say... It only takes until chapter 32/33 for Maki to confess his feelings to her and they become an official couple. I hope they adapt that, but they'd have to leave out a lot to get to that point.
ive been so hyped to watch this, looks pretty good so far. My only complaint is that I wish we got to see them become friends since we see their initial encounter and then they fast-forwarded to a home hangout, felt a little rushed/unexpected.
Seems fine, pretty much a standard romcom setup episode, the animation/production side is very average as well so there's been nothing to really stand out yet. I like Asanagi and Maehara enough to keep watching, he's not annoying or anything with is a plus for these kinds of shows. If it continues in a good way I can see myself bumping it up to a 6 or so.
