And if Agott was a guy, I am sure she wouldnt be getting this much hate lol.
Witches aren't all sparkles and everything and her being this way has a very good reason lets just say(Probably will be covered in this season to plus people be missing the fact that it has a seinen tag)
She doesn't want to bring Coco down, but in a world where metrics or scores are the only thing that matter, its kind of natural to expect it from your peers.
And no she wasn't setting her up for her death. She thought Coco would give up once faced with the situation.
In addition it isn't very different from the real world academic circles if I am being truly honest.
I mean just look at an average professor or a university, in other words, the story is not only mimicking magic as science but also in a way "critiquing" the academic systems around the world(Subtely).

I feel like saying stuff like "we gotta kill her" comes easier to people regarding female characters than male ones in these situations (I can't find a male Gabi equivalent from the top of my head), but I agree that she would still be disliked or even hated as a male character. At least for me it wouldn't change much
It's a very common trope where a character is made to be absolutely hated in the beginning then redeems themselves later. You can't think of any other characters?

You can compare in all honesty.
Bakugou was a fans favorite from season 1 despite being 10 x times more sufferable in the starting seasons,
Gabi wasn't evem half as bad as Eren yet the hate was hilarious. Even in this case, Agott isn't loud or annoying just cold.
And we get a top rated comment saying "I want to end Agott's life".
Quiet a problematic ordeal even from a media context

i am not in kill squad but hate she deserves it, i like her in previous episode and gave her lot fate even in this episode, she just send another kid to her death, i thought maybe she don't know how dangerous it is and then she opened her mouth '' i know how dangerous it is that why i send her, i don't like people inferior to me'', rude attitude has it own charm in anime but harming someone intentionally is a wrong regardless of age and gender
