Bloom Into You chapter count? Why does it say 52 chapters when there are only 45?

I noticed the number of chapters changed from 45 to 50. Even Myanimelist listed 50 chapters. Can someone explain to me why it's 50 chapters? Isn't the 45th chapter be the final chapter or am I missing something?

dont know about MAL, but AL counts extra chapters. https://anilist2.gitbook.io/submission-manual/submission-form/general/lengths/manga

There's a couple of .5 chapters that get counted as chapters as well. Therefore even tho the last chapter is called chapter 45, its the 50th chapter by that counting.

If you check the description, it says 5 intermission chapters. I'm guessing these are chapters like; 34.5 or 22.5.

If I had to guess probably a special that was looked over when they submitted the data.

We include all of the extra chapters (such as prologues, epilogues, bonus chapters) in the chapter count. The chapter count was wrong since it did not include all of those chapters, and a mod corrected it recently. The description was also updated to indicate that it includes a number of extra chapters.
