She is a Japanese mangaka and part of the Year 24 group. She debuted in 1964 at the age of 14 with short story Picnic (ピクニック, Pikunikku), published in the Spring Break Special issue of Ribon. Her stories cover various settings and social and feminist messages elaborately through her drawings and motivations of her characters. In recent years, she has released fewer works, with most of her releases being reprints of older works.
