Kumiko Takahashi

Noted for her work as a character designer and animation director on numerous anime series.

Learned the ropes studying under Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. After working as an animator at Kugatsusha, an animation studio led by Yasuhiko, she moved to Madhouse and provided the character designs for titles such as Tokyo Babylon, DNA², Tetsuwan Birdy as well as the extremely well received mahou shoujo series, Cardcaptor Sakura.

Soon after this Takahashi left Madhouse and teamed up on Shuukou Murase's directorial debut, Witch Hunter Robin - once again handling the role of character designer. In 2006, she designed the characters for Ouran High School Host Club.

Since then Takahashi has been working exclusively on shows made by either Sunrise or Bones.
