Initially he was mainly a scriptwriter for radio programs, but ever since his involvement on Kanon in 2002, he has been working on animation-related projects as both scriptwriter and producer.

In 2010, he made his directorial debut with the puppet animation Cheburashka.

Note: Not to be confused with either of the two animators.
