Japanese video game developer, illustrator, musician, composer, and voice actor. Ishiwatari was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Japan. He is best known for creating the heavy metal-themed 2D fighting game series Guilty Gear. He designed the characters, storyline and wrote the music for all the games. He also formerly provided the in-game voices for the characters Sol Badguy and Order-Sol. He, along with Yoshihiro Kusano, also wrote the music for BlazBlue, and painted the character selection portraits for the sequel, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.
