Akane Torikai is a Japanese mangaka. She entered the manga industry after graduating from art school and working as an assistant for Minoru Furuya. Torikai made her professional debut in 2004, publishing short stories in magazines including Bessatsu Shojo Friend and Be Love. She has since become known as the author of Sensei's Pious Lie and Jigoku no Girlfriend.

She was previously married to the mangaka Inio Asano.
