I still can't fathom how Japan could make a series about RACE HORSE IDOL GIRLS become so serious. This movie simply reaches JJK levels of animation, making a 2 minutes race look as epic as a fight between gods.
I must say, this one didn't hit me on emotional level like the previous seasons. The tears I shed for the traumatic and sad stories of the first three seasons were replaced by tears caused by the excessive (but faboulous) use of shining lights, rainbows flows and fluid animation.
I loved this approach, it made every race seem reach the speed of light, with air collapsing and space reshaping around the Uma Musume. I'm not even angry this got such a good animation and Berserk didn't ...
I think more people should open their mind and watch this amazing anime, that teaches how to confront reality and obstacles on the way to your dreams.
Agnes Tachyon was the star of this movie. A literal sociopath obsessed with discovery, obsessed with the pursuit of the speed of light, aiming to destroy the limit of the horse girls for the sole purpose of discovering what's after that ... to the point of even destroying herself in the process.
4 Races ... 4 Victories
I want to know. At the boundaries if the potential we Umamusume hold, at the limits of speed my flesh can reach ... What lies beyond ?
She became the nightmare of the main character, Jungle Pocket, who had nothing to envy over Tachyon, but got scarred by the 2 consecutive losses against her to the point of being persecuted by her failure, becoming frustrated, angry, unable to confront her rival in another race.

Fuji Kiseki and Trainer Nabi were such good support roles, the Inspiration and the Trainer of "Pokke".
They gave her a purpose, a reason to run, and through her, be able to regain control over their lost dreams.
In an equal exchange, Pokke gave Kiseki the strength and courage to return in the Race World,
and gave Nabi the appellative of Derby Trainer, by winning the Japan Derby under his wings.
Rivalry, Friendships, Obsession, Dreams.
I'm not ashamed to say that the Uma Musume franchise explored these themes better than most of the other medias I've viewed.
Knights, Young Wherters who seek to shatter my golden age!
Stand Proud! For you have the privilege of falling before me, and becoming yet another page in the tale of my SUPREMACY!

Even though Jungle Pocket and Agnes Tachion are amazing characters, my Queen Opera O will forever remain the "Supreme Master of Aura Farming"

No other anime will ever hit me on such an emotional level like this one.
I’ve rewatched it for the 3rd time now, and I still get crashed by the ending (just like Rebecca)
In just a few simple episodes, this anime shows you a neon-lit future, where only the streets, the buildings of mega-corporations and the guns of “cyberpunks” shine.
A hyper-capitalistic future, where without insurance, a job and money, you are absolutely nobody. A world where the only thing you can choose is how to die: as a corporator, killed in a robbery, to pay for your contribution in creating such a dehumanizing society, or to die as a gangster, oscillating between becoming a legend of Night City … or yet another “Cyberpsychopath”.
10 episodes have consolidated in our hearts unique characters, each with their own dream, each with their own eventful past.
David, the protagonist with a heart of gold, but who lacks a real personality, always chasing the dreams of those around him, first his mother, for whom he is ready to reach the top of the Arasaka Tower, one way or another, and then his "leader", Maine, for whom he aims to become a legend of Night City, completely annihilating himself and falling into cyber psychosis.
But the most important dream, and perhaps the only one he has managed to fully realize, is Lucy's.
Lucy, David’s perfect counterpart, who survived the dives into the “Old Net” commissioned by Arasaka, has always lived her life trying to escape from Night City, which she considered a prison. Almost selfishly, she became a cyberpunk, joining Maine’s team, only to pursue her dream… until she met David. Lucy’s development is one of my favorite things about this series. From an independent girl who does everything just for herself, in contact with David’s pure soul, she finds a new goal… to defend that boy from the same fate that befell her as a child, a guinea pig for a mega corporation.
Needless to say, the tragic love story between David and Lucy is what makes this anime so loved by the community. A promise not kept by David, who with his vice of chasing other people's dreams, finally managed to sacrifice himself for Lucy's, allowing her to go to the Moon ... but without him.
Of course, it's not just David and Lucy who have contributed to the beauty of the anime:
Among the many merits of this series, the numerous soundtracks, each suited to the scene in which it is used. And even outside the anime, many of the songs remain absolute bangers, capable of evoking the emotions of the first viewing.
