What in the god's name is this sequel...I'll try to keep this one short and spoiler-free

THE CONS:

1. Ridiculous out of the world physics that defies Newton's laws
2. Rushed ending, short post-event scenes
3. Bad written story (not that bad but still watchable, still it effects the whole story)
4. Didn't invest heavily in the plot idea that was created at the begining (can't spoil)
5. Characters' personality is kind of different from what they had developed at the TV series.
   (which ruined the whole spirit for me)

THE PROS:

1. Great animation as always
2. Great sound design
3. Cute girls and their daily lives (but it's like the writer tried too hard at it)
4. The military parts are very realistic
5. Educational
6. New characters
7. More character development

My few short words to conclude this review:

Story: (IMPORTANT)
This movie is way too generic, you can already guess how the whole 103 minutes is divided into... It's like the story can't be developed anymore, the story effects every aspects, this series needs to be opened more. It's hard to develops the story revolving around warships and girls. Plus, since it was wholesome, there isn't any way for it to be violent, this is one of the reasons why it is hard to write the story.

Characters:
About the characters, it's good to introduces some new characters, but they didn't develope that much.
But, to compensate for that, old characters that didn't get alot of screen time in the 12 ep series get developed more...but, again, developed characters didn't get DEVELOPED MORE, IT'S BULL POOP. Old characters show more of their bad habits of their old self back when they set sail the first time, but THEY ALREADY FIXED AND DEVELOPED BACK AT THE ORIGINAL 12 EPS, ITS BULL POOP, WHY THE HELL ARE THEY STILL HAVING THEIR OLD HABITS (Ex: Rin). I get it that they should show some little and minor old habits of themselves but they SHOWED IT TOO MUCH.

Sequel probability: (40%, low probability)
It is probable that this could be the end of this series if no one could step up and open their eyes and write more creative plots and uses that plot effectively. They just write the story like a generic anime and throw it out to the public carelessly, like it's not important at all. This is a very good series, it's part of my teenage-hood and other people too, I hope they could learn and fix the mistakes. Remember that this series could be on par with GuPs, it has lots of potential.

Totally recommended for military geeks, or anyone that loves the series or loves the wholesome slice of life cute girl genre with epic military actions. But don't expect anything much...since the 103 MINUTES COULD BE PACKED IN LIKE 3 NORMAL HSF EPISODES.

All in all, the future is very uncertain for the series (I haven't read the manga so I didn't know if the story in the manga developed more than the anime yet, but the whole series is original, means it has no source of adaptation).
