Jobless Reincarnation is that old uncle that sits in the corner of the room that everyone tries to imitate. Jobless is unique because it doesn't have the cliche tags such as OP main character or "I was sent to this world for a purpose" but still has some aspects which every Isekais has. The story does start slow but it doesn't lack in detail, clearly depicting every action and explaining relevant information needed for the story to progress whilst still giving us the reader many unanswered questions. The story presents the struggles which the main character faced in his previous life which I find very unique as most Isekais tend to forget the life of the main character in the real world. Furthermore, Rudeus retained issues such as anxiety and depression which he eventually fought against when he got reincarnated in this new world. The story made it so that the main character was in a child's body which made it easier for people around him to help whilst also giving him confidence as he is now a child. I find this well done because the main character sees his new life as a restart and a time to change as he is in a new body and with a new family whilst also remembering who he used to be in his previous life which as a result gives him a mental conscious of helping others and not leading them down the same path which he was once on. But don't get me wrong the story itself is still far from perfect. One issue that I have personally is the constant sex scenes we have, notably the Rudeus and Eris scene (note this is one of the cliches Isekai aspect that jobless has) even though it may not be actual sex we are seeing, we basically saw a child that has a mind of a grown man rape a child, even though it may seem normal to them the writer is trying to show the type of world they are in, however for me as a viewer I felt very uncomfortable watching those 5 minutes. Nonetheless, apart from the slow pacing and this one issue, the story itself was very good and has set up a really exciting world-building to come.
Jobless Reincarnation production crew does a great job animating and beautifully colouring scenes giving a relative sense of what the world looks like and the type of world it is. An example of this is the house Rudeus grew up in, the house itself is not much but the way it looks and the way it is coloured gives us a sense of medieval and fantasy vibes which is what Jobless is trying to show. Even though not much of the story progresses Studio bind is still able to show off the banger animation they have in the training scenes that Rudeus goes through.
The characters in jobless are well made to the point each character has something unique about them. Rudeus is by far one of my favourite and one of the best characters in the series, Rudeus is the type of main character who came to this new world expecting to have unlimited power but in reality was weak and had to work his way up and even after that he still recognised he was weak and still continued to push himself further but in an uncommon way, gaining knowledge of different species that existed in this world which as a result helped him out later on. Moreover not to forget the issues he suffered from the beginning with anxiety and depression which might be the writer trying to express we ourselves are Rudeus and we too can find a way back to living life to the fullest.
To conclude Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu is a unique Isekai that pushes the boundaries of what is meant to be an Isekai, a great world-building story of a man who felt he had nothing left, a pointless reason to live but was grabbed back by the very person who created him and gave him another chance to experience what life is really about whist also helping others with there issues which they see impossible to fix. Jobless reincarnation is a must-watch, a fantasy pact anime with great written dialogue and empathy that some can relate. Don't see Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu as another generic Isekai that fills the genre with complete trash see it as that hidden gem that is waiting to be discovered.

Talentless Nana gave everything that 2020 was meant to be, a great psychological/thriller anime built with a fantastic plot that never disappointed, the story is about a trauma suffering kid who is manipulated to kill talented people who have specials abilities that defy the rules of reality in this review I will be giving my thoughts on the plot, characters, animation, sound and lastly enjoyment.
As always make sure to check out my other reviews and follow me on Anilist and discord if you want to debate about the opinions and thought that I gave in this review.

Plot
Talentless Nana is a story about a young girl tasked to kill talented human being’s whist attending these specials school and not getting caught, kinda like among us except its 1v30 and the crewmates have special abilities. These talented human beings are gifted abilities that defy the rules of reality and are considered enemies of humanity by the humans (humans with no abilities), the talented and their families are conned to enrol their children into these special school which is placed on an island that is isolated by humanity. The main character Nana is perceived to be very skilled and very cunning which is fuelled by her desire to kill the talented humans, the story doesn’t disappoint in developing characters and showcasing the skills and kills that take place with every little detail explained with logical thinking behind it, one killing that truly fascinated me was the killing of Tsunekichi Hatadaira, Hatadarias ability is that he can print images up to and including 5 images that depict the future which cannot be changed, this fascinated me because Nana was able to manipulate the images that Hatadaira printed while he was asleep then replace them so that Hatadaira would believe that he had won which unfortunately led to his downfall as Hatadaira character and including most talented students is that they are unbelievably cocky and arrogant in their abilities. This is just one of the many masterclasses the story gave us in Talentless Nana.
Characters
Nana was written immaculately they way she dealt with accusation struggle and meticulously slide her way out of bad scenarios throughout the series was impeccable not only that but as the story went on we began to see glimpse after glimpse of Nana's back story which had not been mention at all, the way her character started to break down when she finally said her back story to Michiru truly showed another side to her, not once did she break down or lose control when killing her target nor once did she began to doubt her self if these killings were meaningful, but at that moment we began to see a slow but steady shift of Nana character from being this imposter like character to now being this neo crewmate it was truly amazing. On the other hand, the story did an amazing job of fueling her anger, every episode she would plan/kill one of her fellow students and the audience will be left in awe and confused to not knowing what her motives were but as the episodes and development went on it became clear who the catalyst for Nana was and the constant anger that she had.
Animation
Not much can be said about the animation it was not terrible but at the same time, it was not unique. This may be because this animation is not entirely relied upon cool battles and action but more dialogue and psychological aspects, however, the art and character styles do a great job of perceiving fear throughout the show, those large eyeballs and dead bodies do give an accurate representation of the fear and thriller genre that is trying to be expressed in this piece of work while also maintaining this lovely dovey type of aura some of the characters give, all in all, the characters may not look the best but when fear and shock is experience the art of the characters is a sight to be seen.
Sound
The opening gives us a sinister vibe while also trying to show fear and danger that is to be seen in the upcoming episode whereas the ending always gives the audience hope that the talented will find out the killer and always leaves Nana in a sticky situation, this amazed me because both openings and endings both are juxtapositions to each other they both counter each other spreading different messages at different parts of the episode.
Enjoyment
This show was truly an amazing show to watch, looking back at 2020 this anime does stand out with the rise of among us and the countless Talentless Nana references said while playing, it was truly great and worth picking up this series. The countless times I was left on my heels wanting to watch next weeks episode but couldn’t because I was watching it weekly truly hurt a lot, this alone is enough for me to know that I truly enjoyed this show.
Overall
I would highly recommend people picking up this series as the thill, the dialogue and psychological warfare is immaculate. Talentless Nana truly showed what an anime adaptation of among us would look like and frankly it did not disappoint.

After the disappointment of Cyberpunk 2077 on the ps4 the anime gods blessed us with Akudama Drive except they only blessed half of it. Akudama Drive gives us amazing animation with cool visuals pact with great action that does not take ages to develop with a nice and unique story set in dystopian future in Kansai. Even though the story does fall a bit off near the end of the series it didn’t stop me enjoying the first half of the series which is the sole reason why I continued watching the series as a whole.
Plot 7/10
Akudama Drive is a story about 7 criminals who have sentences of a minimum of 500+ years (basically a life sentence) and they do risky jobs for a large sum of money while being pursued by the police. The show was filled with great and gruesome moments notably in the very first few episodes when they were going to save cutthroat, it was very intriguing to see the main characters mercilessly murder members of the police force with no unnecessary dialog or development needed. The show doesn’t take long to develop and doesn’t keep the viewer at bay and gets straight to the point which I thoroughly enjoy. As a whole, the first half of the series was worth watching and time well wasted as there was a clear development and goal that I wanted to see. however, the same cannot be said for the second half of the series, even though there were clear developments between different characters and the story it was just not progressing the way I hoped it would, the story began to shift from logical and unique standpoints and started to become more like a battle royal with a hint of political rising and mass killings it just didn’t feel right. on top of that, it probably had one of the worst endings I have ever seen in anime a cliché battle against an enemy with zero development.
Characters 6/10
Not much can be said about the characters in Akudama Drive because, one the story just went completely south in the latter half of the series and two only a handful of character development really mattered mainly because most of them ended up dead or were missing in action, but the ones that were developed were alright at best, the main character at first was seen as a completely innocent normal human being who has never committed a crime before, however as time went on spending time with criminals and building connections with different characters we saw a change in character and transition from being this innocent human being to becoming a killer who would save their friends when needed to, the writer made it clear that there was this shift in character and personality when he made the main character cut her hair which symbolised a new birth of character. In total it was Pretty generic but that’s pretty much the only character development we really got.
Art/Animation 8/10
Akudama Drive brings a Danganronpa theme art style which I see as very unique and pleasant to watch, the art style gave a futuristic look while making scenes that emphasises poor neighbourhoods truly show the struggle some characters face, furthermore the animation was suburb, the fight scenes, the killings, the movement was all smooth with its own unique style, one scene that truly fascinated me was the very first fight between the executioners and Akudama even though there could have been some minor fixtures the fight scenes was amazing, packed with great choreographs fights that flowed amazingly well. Lastly the colours, one thing that Akudama Drive does well is using a mixture of dark and bright colours to make scenes better to watch, it also plays a great part in showing futuristic cities and gives an accurate view of how it might look.
Music 7/10
The ending and opening were great. They fitted with the style and plot of this show and what I mean by this is the sounds and instruments fitted the sci-fi/futuristic genre they were trying to express, the visuals in the opening and ending were beautifully fused with light and dark colours which amazed me as its rare to see animes with great visual openings and endings. Not much can be said about the ost mainly because the action overshadowed it but as a whole, it was pretty bland and generic.
Enjoyment 6.5/10
Well, where do I begin. The show had a lot of potential with a good story pact with amazing visuals however as the episodes went on and the story started to go south my enjoyment started to decrease, it became very difficult to watch the latter half of the series as I just couldn’t see how the story was going to pan out it, fused with bland and generic storylines it just became increasingly difficult to watch, therefore I decided to give a 6.5 mainly because the first half carried the show for me without the first half my enjoyment levels would have probably been a solid 4.
Overall 7/10
Overall This show was alright but it did begin to fall off near the end of the series, the plot was unique and was filled with beautiful art pact with great action fight scenes that was starting to form a great series, the latter half of the series well it did start to fall off a bit which did tarnish this series as a whole but the first half was enough for this show to be a 7. If this was a two cour or more the way this series was going it could have easily become a solid 5 or 4 but luckily this was only a one cour series. All in all, I would recommend people to watch this show however only up to episode 8 as that is where the series begins to fall off.

Going into this I was looking forward to seeing the Karasuno vs Inarizaki, watching the previous season's Production IG did an amazing job of adapting the previous seasons into anime this was not the same for this season!
Plot 9/10
Furadate is an excellent storyteller from developing multiple characters in this match to giving us beautiful and hype scenes that did not disappoint. Haikyu to the top part 2 contains only the Inarizaki game even though at first, I was disappointed to not see the Nekoma vs Karasuno game I was still ecstatic to see the Inarizaki game nonetheless. The Inarizaki game contains many character developments throughout the game, one which was Tanaka development of becoming a reliable wing spiker. Throughout the game Tanaka was brutally shut down by Inarizaki blockers consistently being denied and causing his team to lose points, Tanaka moral was low and began to doubt himself and admit that he was average player compared to his teammates. We began to see Tanaka’s character of being load and hot-headed start to change to now being quiet and annoyed at himself for not playing well. Tanaka being a character who has strong mental fortitude was being crushed by the wall that was Inarizaki. As the game went on Tanaka accepted the fact that he is average and useless and began asking Kageyama to reduce sets towards him which Kageyama denied, not only does this show Tanaka has lost all hope and believes that he is average but it also shows the slight development we see in Kageyama from not trusting his teammates to now believing and trusting his team in scoring points. This would then result in one of Tanaka greatest shots in the entire series
Animation 5/10
The animation and art in this season of Haikyu was a hit or miss at times looking appalling and at times looking amazing. From watching its first episode the animation did look a bit different as spikes and servers were taken from a different angle than before. (however, being a manga reader, this was normal as this is how it looked in the manga.) Watching the second episode was where it all changed, the drawings of some characters and animation just looked awful from the spikes and receives being completely wrong. Even though I knew the second episode was outsourced this was the first time in Haikyu series which an episode was outsourced and simply it should not have happened!
Nevertheless, even though the animation being poor at times Production IG did not disappoint in showing beautiful animation in moments that counted, one notably was Hinata receive, It was simply perfect, the first person animation of Hinata receiving the ball did not look weird or off-putting it was just beautiful the way it was coloured and drawn it truly showed what Haikyu was about.
Music and voices 8/10
Nothing much changed about the voices of characters however the music was sublime, Inarizaki theme just bopped throughout the whole series, the normal Haikyu ost did change a little with a quick pacing most likely due to the quick attacks that are done by both teams. I enjoyed the animation, pictures and sound in Haikyu opening as it was used to foreshadow and give tribute to the Haikyu manga finishing.
Overall review and thoughts 7/10
Plot-wise it was amazing I was hooked on seeing the different characters, banners and back story’s of people in the Haikyu world, The animation did disappoint at times but overall it was pretty mid compared to the last 12 episode game series that Haikyu gave, The ost and openings were amazing, every time I hear the Inarizaki theme I just could not stop humming it.
My thoughts of Haikyu to the top part 2, the series could have been delayed 3 more months and could have come with better quality(animation-wise), this season could have been a straight 9 or 10 if there was no outsourcing done. My favourite characters in this season of Haikyu was definitely Hinata, Atsumu, Kita and Osamu, Hinata because of his development as the story progress, Kita because he is the definition of a captain even though he is average the captain lays the foundation of the team's actions. And lastly the twins I mean how can you dislike them they were absolutely sick at volleyball and were funny at times.
I hope you enjoyed my review make sure to follow me on Anilist (I don’t really care who follows me) if you want to talk about anime and stuff add me on Discord.

This review will consist of a basic recap of the manga, my thoughts about the plot, characters, art and overall review about Haikyu. (will contain spoilers)
Plot 10/10
Haikyu is a shounen jump manga gifted to us by the legendary Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu begins with the main protagonist Hinata Shoyo falling in love with volleyball by watching his idol and inspiration little giant play in nationals. The story then progresses to Hinata first match and only match in middle school which is against his good friend and fellow rival Tobio Kageyama. Even though Hinata suffers a major defeat by the hands of Kageyama, Hinata is determined to train hard and defeat Kageyama in the near future.
The story then progresses to High school with both Kageyama and Hinata playing for Karasuno, even though at first Both Hinata and Kageyama hated each other they were able to put their differences aside and focus on one goal, winning the inter-high and nationals. Karasuno once known as a powerhouse team for its great offensive power is now known as the flightless crows nonetheless they aspire to become the best team in the Miyagi prefecture. Karasuno journey to reaching the inter-high and nationals was not easy in fact they didn't even reach the inter-high at all as they were defeated by Kageyama's mentor and senior Oikawa (Aoba Johsai). Proceeding the defeat against Aoba Johsai we see the Tokyo Expedition Arc, unlike most sports manga we saw a lot of new faces and old faces during this training arc notably Bokuto from Fokurodani and Nekoma (Karasunos rivals) the training arc consisted the growth of Hinata as a middle blocker as well as Kageyama as a setter, furthermore we also saw some development with supporting cast members such as Tsukishima which was mentored and trained by Kuroo.
We then enter the spring high preliminary arc, in this arc, we saw great matches and rivalries flourish notably Oikawa vs Kageyama (Aoba Johsai vs Karasuno) this match possibly had the best set in the whole series imo, the famous Oikawa long set
After defeating Aoba Johsai, Karasuno only had one game left in fulfilling their dream to reach nationals. Defeating the raining Miyagi prefecture representative, Shiratorizawa!. Even though Shiratorizawa houses one of the top 3 aces in the whole country Ushijima Wakatoshi this game was fairly close, this game we saw enormous character development especially Tsukishima, rarely seen we saw for the first time Tsukishima show his true emotions, after blocking only one shot from one of the top 3 aces we finally saw a drive for Tsukishima to play volleyball a drive that never left him. The game was long, close and very emotional but in the end, Karasuno prevailed.
After the defeat of Shiratorizawa, we then saw another training arc, this arc had Kageyama become an All japan youth candidate (the same as Ushijima Wakatoshi) and Tsukishima was invited to attend the Shiratorizawa first years camp, unfortunately, Hinata was not chosen for either of them depressed and annoyed Hinata overheard Tsukishima making a joke with Yamaguchi about sneaking into the Shiratorizawa first-year camp, we can all pretty much understand what happened next knowing Hinata. even though Hinata was not able to play at all and was tasked to be a ball boy he still continued to attend the training program even though he was a ball boy he felt observing from the sidelines was a great opportunity to learn.
Nationals
This undoubtedly had one of the best games in the whole series (excluding the Jackels vs Adlers game) long story short Karasuno faced highly ranked teams throughout the country starting from Inarizaki to Nekoma to Kamomedai. The games were amazing with every little character seeing some development, In my opinion, Karasuno vs Nekoma was the best game we saw in this arc and the whole series(excluding Jackels vs Adlers) we also saw Hinatas biggest development as a character and the trigger for him to become one of the best volleyball players ever, the day in which he fell ill playing against Kamomedai, without this we would have not seen Hinata determination to get better at volleyball we would have not seen Ninja Shoyo or Kageyama vs Hinata but most importantly if Hinata gave up then we might have not seen Haikyu as a whole.
Beach volleyball
After a 2-year time skip, we see Hinata and Kagyema in there last year of high school, they both agree to face each other in the near future. Kageyama goes off to become one of japans youngest Olympic volleyball players ever and Hinata moves to brazil in order to obtain the arts of beach volleyball, we see familiar faces in brazil such as Oikawa who now plays in Argentina’s pro league, they teamed up for the first time and played some beach volleyball together
Black Jackels vs Adlers
Finally, we come to the end of Haikyu and its final game, MSBY Black Jackals vs Schweiden Adlers, Hinata vs Kageyama this game did not disappoint, both teams have familiar faces and so much great character development we finally saw Hinata beach volleyball come to work as he was now a more refined player than before. We, at last, saw Kageyamas back story to why he plays volleyball and who influenced him to play we were also given the best quote that was said the Kageyama and the exact reason to why he plays "Y'know Tobio... If you get really, reeeally good, you'll get to play lots more games. The best players get to play lots and lots of volleyball. If you get really good... I promise you... somebody who's even better will come along and find you." (To Tobio Kageyama, Volume 44 Chapter 387). Near the end of the game Furadate uses banners to give nostalgic feelings of players who we saw in high school especially the final point in which we saw Hinata going for a spike and Kageyama going for the block with the Karasuno banner behind them, this could mean loads of things but for me, this meant one thing as Kageyama and Hinata became pros they lived up to the Karasuno banner and both represent the sole message “Fly.”
Overview of plot
This plot is a masterpiece unlike other sports anime the whole story of Haikyu focuses on us the reader actually enjoying volleyball and wanting to play volleyball, throughout the whole series we did not see victory after victory but we saw victory, loss, victory and then loss, the fact that Karasuno did not win nationals or even make it to inter-high shows the focus of Furadate and sole purpose of Haikyu. Haikyuu reminds me a lot about run with the win even though they didn’t come first they still enjoyed the journey they took to get where they are right now and where they are as a human being. Not every player from Karasuno continued to play volleyball and not everyone enjoyed playing volleyball. And Furadate made sure to show us this in order to show us realism. Without the plot the character development for some characters would not have been great we would have not come to love Hinata if he didn’t experience shortcoming or shock, we would not have seen Washijou perception of volleyball change and come to the liking of Hinata if he was not defeated by Karasuno, as a whole Haikyu story did not disappoint and was worth wait and time spent reading.
Characters 10/10
In this, I am only going to go through a few characters in Haikyuu as every character experience some development.
Shoyo Hinata
Hinata character development is excellent from being a character with barely any recognition any technique but insanely athletic to gaining technique and skills from numerous training and shortcomings as well as gaining respect from volleyball players around the world this shows the amount of effort and thought Furadate put into Hinata. having a rocky friendship with Kageyama to now being his duo In the Olympics shows the connection built throughout the whole manga which could also give a short overview of the connections build in Haikyu as a whole. From being unlikeable at the start to becoming every one top 5 characters after the manga finished shows the excellent development seen by the greatest decoy Ninja Shoyo.
Tobio Kageyama
Undoubtedly one of the coolest characters in Haikyu, a co-main whose back story was only shown in the last game shows the methodical placing and character development done by Furudate, Kageyama as a character began as a cocky angry setter but since joining Karasuno and being influenced by such great characters around him we began to see him evolve and become more of a team player a good example of Kageyamas character development was when Atsumu referred to him as a “goody-two-shoes” even though at first you may think goody two shoes refers to his skills but it mainly means his communication skills Kageyama as a character always seemed for perfection and to become a perfected volleyball player one must master the art of communication and therefore this shows his development as a character from being a character with zero communication and anger issues to becoming a character who communicates with his teammates and gives the perfect set needed for his spikers.
Art 10/10
Haruichi Furudate is an artist normally I would not see myself reading sports manga’s as the hype or art is mainly shown through animation however after seeing some panels of its one-shot I was fully intrigued and gave it a shot and honestly it was worth it, here are some panels which I found amazing.
Full overview
Haruichi Furudate masterpiece is worth the effort and time, reading this gave me a passion to play volleyball but also the drive to create a sports manga of my own. From its very first one shot back in January 2011 to its first chapter I have stuck by it day in day out. I never had a regret nor did it get boring, the connections and relationships gained and developed throughout Haikyu were worth it. I am truly grateful that I was able to read along every week and see my favourite characters grow.
So for that, I thank you Haruichi Furudate
I hope you enjoyed my first review if you wanna talk about Haikyu or any anime or manga feel free to add my discord.
