imo, the akira movie can't be fully enjoyed until you read the manga
yeah i plan on reading the manga and then rewatching the movie cause my friend loves it. i loved the animation, i just want to understand the plot more
It's insane how much the movie leaves out. I watched a video on it. Apparently the movie is just the first half of the first volume, and the last half of the last volume with just a bunch of shit in the middle in random order
