I was looking for this manga on the website, but never found it. Could we get it added on?
EDIT:
To clarify, after two years, The Beginning After The End will not be added as it does not meet the criteria set for AniList's origins. If you seek further details as to why it doesn't meet the criteria, please check the comments where a few moderators have kindly left some explanations. :)
EDIT:
Once more, after 5 years, The Beginning After The End still does not meet the criteria set; there has been no movement on said matter, although we do have a nice sweet topping making things better. That is because the anime has been released and fits the criteria. To reiterate, only the anime fits the criteria, not the manga or novel. We now have something to commemorate this great art on AniList, so be happy in the comments below. :3
Hey there!
The work The Beginning After the End isn't on our site because it doesn't meet our criteria. While it was published on the official Korean publisher KakaoPage as of June 2019, it was originally published by Tapas on July 7, 2018, meaning that the original target of the work is not Japan, Korea, China, or Taiwan. You can look for further information regarding the matter on our submission manual.
Thank you for your understanding :)
It doesn't make sense not to put all the works especially when they are requested.
I'm really disappointed by that.
As a database, we need to have a scope of work or otherwise, the amount of work data mods would be x10 bigger than it already is and the data on the site wouldn't be as updated or complete.
We also currently have a lot of media from our accepted Country of Origins that are either incomplete or missing on the site, that's why we don't plan to expand the list of countries in the near future ^^'
Does this mean it's never going to be added to the site?
I can’t say never because maybe the guidelines change in the future, but so far we don’t plan to update this section to allow OEL works.
@Flidaix what about the manga:
The Mountain Climber and the Sealed Evil Fox
Do the people commenting in this thread, have no common sense at all? What is wrong with you ppl?
Yes, Humans are from the Animalia kingdom. Does that mean that Humans and apes are the same? Why do you think that scientists need to go so far to classify everything into a category? Why don't we call all the living organism homies or bros or something like that? It would be much easier? Amirite?
Just because TBATE is 'technically' (which is already a huge stretch) a manga, doesn't mean that TBATE and actual Manga are the same. In that case, DC Comics are also eligible for this site. Stop trying to conform everything to fit your comfort. Go find another site, because this is an anime and manga listing website. Stop trying to add anything that isn't that, in this website.
Adding Manhua and Manhwa was bad enough. People need to stop hiding behind the excuse of "But uhm!! The japanese people think they are the same" no they don't, please shut up.
um i dont think theyre angry at the mods? but more on the policy/system. everyone commenting is aware that the mods cant add it bc of the rules. theyre just commenting hoping there will be some changes after some waiting i guess.
i, for one, would be happy if it was in yhe system! uts really popular but well there's nothing i can do since it doesnt pass the requirements. its just a shame
i will never get why they decided to allow manhwa and manhua (hell, they even allowed music videos) while media that are more related to anime/manga like drama CD, visual novels, novel adaptations or even japanese media that got anime/manga adaptations in general (it doesn't have to be all of them, just ones that got adaptations) are not allowed. allowing them would give users more info on anime/manga that they like, side materials are often obscured because nobody keeps track on those except for fandom wikis that a lot of series don't even have. I'll never know that i want to eat your pancreas got a mini sequel book if not for someone on 4chan randomly bringing it up out of the blue. and compared to the amount of resource they need to add manhwa and manhua, these entries would be nothing in comparison.
disallowing web novels and doujinshi is understandable since allowing them would open a pandora box just for the sheer numbers of them alone. but for officially licensed media? i really don't get it. the reasoning behind the addition of manhwa and manhua seems to be that they're highly requested and a lot of people like them enough to warrant the addition. but this platform is advertised as an anime/manga platform, not asian cartoon media in general.
I'm not really against the addition of manhwa/manhua, i just find it weird that media that are more related to anime and manga are not allowed.
y'all mfs should maintain your tracking on notepad instead of being a karen and asking an already overworked team to work more
I don't wanna sound rude, but how could you possibly know they're overworked? are you just making shit up?
I'm not for the idea of adding it but it literally doesn't require that much effort to add it, new series are being added everyday, the mods are just proof-checking it. And it's not like they HAVE to do it for us, Anilist is after all dependant on donations
Assuming it meets the correct criteria, feel free to make a submission for it yourself: https://anilist.co/forum/thread/14

It won't be added because it doesn't meet the guidelines since it's published through Tapas.

Is a joke?
Fr, I was shocked too.
But it makes sense though, at least to me.
This rule is stupid and nonsense, it seems that the people who made these rules are weebs who hate Westerners and say "anime is not a cartoon".
It is past time for the site to have a division for comics from other regions ... To postpone this is just toxicity and does not contribute anything to the community, it is no longer 1939.
A mod will likely be by shortly to explain how to do that. In the mean time let my help you by saying that I had to read your post 5 times before I understood what you were saying.
guys can "The Beginning After the End" novel or manga be added to the site ?
Posting like this makes it much easier to understand what you are asking for.
