So Memempu and Gagumber are fixing an ancient machine that might be what gives air and oxygen to the whole labyrinth.
Edit: I've already watched it, it seems that Merooro is not that bad, but I have a feeling that he might be a future threat to what Memempu is aiming in the future. Seems that the map of Urorop is really useful, I wonder if she is the mother of Memempu... it was a decent episode, I would like them to keep exploring the labyrinth.
¿What do you think of the episode?
Well, now we know what Merooro's deal was all this time. What an eco-friendly guy he is, assuming that he doesn't have some other kind of shady ulterior motive for doing what he's done with Gagumbar and Memempu. The little bit of dialogue about preserving history for future generations is a little...well, cliched. Not that it's bad since it fits Merooro's character from what we've seen; it's just that I've seen this dialogue before, and not just in anime.
It seems like the journey is going to finally resume itself starting in the next episode, and a good thing, too. When the last episode aired, I was worried that too much time would be spent in this new location at the cost of finding out where Urorop's map was leading. This was a world-building episode to be sure, but I do have to wonder what the ultimate purpose of it was. I was about to say that this show was running the risk of wasting its opportunities to move the journey along, but it does seem like it'll we'll be back to traveling next time.
am glad Memenpu got the focus back this episode. This show does best when it's not just Gagumber.
The guy is part of a real shady organization that likely is way more controlling than their name sounds, but, at least here, it seems he genuinely does have a love for the "past". I could see him being some sort of obstacle in the future as well, but it might surprise.
I wonder why technology deteriorated so much? Though I guess it'd be that humanity had all the mats before they made their great escape into the underground from whatever it was that drove humanity into the earth, and ended up using those creating things that help sustain everyone currently. So since there was no access to those materials, people just slowly forgot how to make those things. Something like that, probably.
I love how this show goes through so many different and interesting places~
