Well, now we know what Merooro's deal was all this time. What an eco-friendly guy he is, assuming that he doesn't have some other kind of shady ulterior motive for doing what he's done with Gagumbar and Memempu. The little bit of dialogue about preserving history for future generations is a little...well, cliched. Not that it's bad since it fits Merooro's character from what we've seen; it's just that I've seen this dialogue before, and not just in anime.
It seems like the journey is going to finally resume itself starting in the next episode, and a good thing, too. When the last episode aired, I was worried that too much time would be spent in this new location at the cost of finding out where Urorop's map was leading. This was a world-building episode to be sure, but I do have to wonder what the ultimate purpose of it was. I was about to say that this show was running the risk of wasting its opportunities to move the journey along, but it does seem like it'll we'll be back to traveling next time.
