Not so long ago an anituber that was just reviewing episodes / anime and had half of his channel removed by toei under copyright, I didn't follow it after how it unfolded but it's not a good idea.

the bit about faxes always get me, how can it be both a highly technologically creative country while being so adamantly stuck on the past technology and business models. like uh yeah streaming the actual episodes is probably never going to be a thing, but maybe they'll finally understand what a review is. I have now a good mental image of them trying to dmca roger ebert over his review of spirited away.
