Shidou: I have died 5 times already!
Subaru: Excuse me? Them rookie numbers, kid.
I feel like the pacing has been kinda weird, a lot of random stuff is happening but then not focused on or really continued. Westcott is still holding Nia's angel, Zodiac is introduced now, and now Woodman ominously makes an appearance after all of this time. This must have been explained but why aren't they going after Westcott to get back Nia's angel?
Or maybe they'll just tie this all together in the upcoming episodes and it will makes sense somehow
The art for this season is fantastic, I didn't even really think twice about the CGI for the space stuff until someone mentioned they were using CGI. It's there if you are looking for it but it's blended well.
THE KING IS NAKED!
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But seriously, how can 9 spirits not handle 1 guy?
or at least try? It's hard to defend the anime...
but, cool episode and the guy who finances this whole mess showed up
oh, i almost forgot about the waifu in space for now, nice plot
well, for now not much to comment, just that she can beat Eva's robots very easily and those gigantic ships? I hope they can travel to other galaxies lol
I'm watching through some of the earlier seasons, I think what feels absent is the show isn't taking time to highlight each character like previous seasons did. One thing that was nice about Natsumi's arc was that the dates each gave a few minutes to each character, and even the first fight with Origami showcased each of the characters involved well. This season, it really feels like everyone has taken a backseat, and even Shido himself hasn't had much time to shine at all. I think most of the focus has been to tackling plot points and Nia or star girl, and it did that in just four episodes so the whole thing feels unbalanced.
