Oh good someone started a thread. I read this back when it first came out. I ended up dropping it around chapter 9 as the story did indeed get bogged down in the basic tropes and the overall gag became repetitive.

Really the only thing that kept me coming back was his accidental overpowered disciple being fun to watch. Something about her being a chuuni with her belief in the dragon's made up story being what amplifies her latent abilities to crazy levels appealed to me but even that got old.
