Normally when s2 is listed as a sequel to the movie rather than s1 it means the movie has required information but in the case of Goblin Slayer I don't remember anything crucial happening that would keep you from enjoying the start of the next season without it. My memory of it isn't crystal clear but if no one says otherwise I think you're fine.
