This episode was way better than ep1 in my opinion. I'm a sucker for big adventures in weird places and while it remained relatively normal, it was still an enjoyable and eye pleasing setting. Slower pace of the episode helped with establishing the character dynamics too, though it's still to early to get any development. In the ep1 discussion I mentioned it could either be something really interesting or fail miserably and it seems to be going the right way.
