It won't hit as hard because you'll have your guard up the entire time, which means you'll be suspicious of everything.
That's true I suppose but generally with character relationships the impact generally feels the same either way. vs if it's like a character death then 100% it hits less. Like I was guarded for your lie in april so it didn't hit nearly as hard. Meanwhile Violet Evergarden destroyed me.
