A few lines would likely only be statements of the (perceived) quality of some aspects.
A review needs to have elaboration on those points, though, so 2-3 moderate sized paragraphs as a minimum makes sense.If you care enough one way or the other, it shouldn't be too hard to come up with enough elaboration to meet the minimum, unless it's something rather short.

Yeah, few years ago I wanted to write a review to 35min OVA that has no reviews and got hit with not enough characters xD I tried to add more, but I was still far away from the word minimum, so I just gave up.

How about a "Thoughts" section where people could share what they think in short and we could sort it by likes or by time, just saying...
You can create just post tagging that specific anime/manga and it will show left to the reviews in that case.
By tagging you mean adding a link of that anime?
No, I mean during creating thread you tag anime so it shows on that anime entry. You can easily leave your thoughts in thread
Mini reviews are on the roadmap. In the meantime, notes, comments on list updates, posts in the final episode release discussion thread (if it's finished recently) or maybe as a status post.
