Ruri Rocks #05
SB: Kurosawa Mamoru 黒沢守
ED: Okada Yuuichi (Miton) 岡朶優一 (みとん)
Miton's debut as a director arrives with veteran Kurosawa Mamoru on storyboard duties. The entire episode is a testament to their combined skill, brimming with expressive character acting, refined draftsmanship, and confident visual storytelling. I'd also like to mention how cool the close-up shots on the hands and the rocks are, with a great sense of shading and The blurred, radiant background enhances focus on the hand and stone, creating an intimate and visually striking moment. Still love how they play with focus by blurring the background or foreground to guide your eye. Another solid episode for the books.
Ruri is basically living in the club with the girls now lol. The episode kicks off in the club room, then we head to the beach (not the typical obligatory beach episode we usually see in anime, unfortunately), and finally to the forest, as usual, with everything flowing so seamlessly.
In Nagi supremacy we believe.
Cutness overload.
