I'm sorry but the motivations behind Kilika were so poorly done.
If Liam was resurrected, why did her memories even need to be sealed? He said she was consumed with guilt that she got him killed, but he wasn't even dead?
The king obviously can manipulate memories at will, so even if it took days for Amelia to bring him back, he could have just undone it? But she had to have been unconscious the whole time or she would have found out he was dead anyway...
Not like I'm expecting all that much from this show, but that just took me out
Well even if he was revived, the memory of being the reason he died wouldn't vanish, even though she would know that everything ended up being okay that guilt in the back of her mind could always end up being detrimental especially because she was a child who is still developing and even worse if she's very empathetic.
Was it the best decision? No. Can I understand why they made that decision? Yes.
even then with stuff like that you don't just forget about it, as horrible of a situation as that is it's also a great learning point for a child as long as you guide them through their trauma correctly, suppressing it only makes things worse since it's bottled up and simmering until it comes back up
That's why I said that, while it wasn't the best decision, I can understand why they did it, besides they didn't "suppress" or let her keep it bottled inside, they sealed it, meaning the memory was pretty much non existent for her and gave it back to her now that she's an adult and can deal with her past actions. Again, not the best decision, but an understandable one
