So the whole time, the whole year. Making his loved crew believe he was dead, or held captive. He just forgot to contact them WHEN HE HAD MULTIPLE CHANCES TOO. BRO HAD MORE TIME TO GO TO SPACESHIP COOL, MEET UP WITH THE FUCKING HOENN CHAMPION (flushed), BEFRIEND A STARMIE, THEN TO CONTACT HIS CREW. I think Dia's spitting Friede may be the villain cause thats just vile, Spinel you getting outdone gang do something.
As for the backstory itself I'm fine with it, a bit underwhelming but nothing bad. I'm more bewildered at how the Exceed grunts never noticed Friede was still in Rakua hell Spinel himself. It's not even like Friede was hiding well too he had his whole charizard out for the world to see and nobody still noticed him. Love anime.
Rest of the backstory is on starmie and the space trip itself leading into the group compiling all the new info they've learned. Very curious to see what he has for Rayquaza since it can't be a Mega Stone, but we're probably going to get Mega Rayquaza soon, that will be CINEMA.
Leading into another Roy snooze fest. His Skeledirge has more depth to it in this battle then Roy does. When I saw most of the preview was this I was honestly so disappointed lmao, we just got Friede back and we're gonna go battle?? Thankfully this wasn't just the whole episode, but am I crazy for saying this win doesn't feel very deserved??
Maybe thats just my 6th sense hating on Roy coming in, but Friede should've won this in the end. I mean shit he would've if he wasn't holding back, bro just has a Zard Y the whole time and kept it in the back pocket, type shit. But that battle was just so meh to me idk, Torch Song is here thankfully and thats probably why Roy won even though the anime didn't acknowledge that it raises SpAtk everytime it's used. He used it 3 times so clearly that has to be why Roy won (copium)
Honestly Ult was the best part of this episode, how he immediately thought Friede was that mf. That's my goat loved his moments. And lastly what the fuck is this tower in the opening, this gotta be where the final battle takes place. Oddly I'm getting Sky Pillar vibes from this is it just me? Didn't get everything I wanted from this episode but it was still a great one nonetheless.
Horizons was amazing this year and still the show that continues to steal my heart. Cannot wait to see it conclude next year because it most likely will. Me and @DiamantInk have literally made a thread for every episode released this year and man that feels so nice. Whole year and we're still going strong.
See y'all next year.
