I paused it because i was also feeling bored, with exception of a few episodes, and a friend of mine told me it got better in the soul society arc
But i was also not wanting to watch it lol, it's probably us and not the arcs

Considering your favourites, you should enjoy it, but try to watch the soul society arc because it is so well praised. If you don't like it, that's okay, it's just not for you. If you really really want to get into it, you can read the manga (that's what I'm doing)
