Aaaah, your right. It is a was aired on TV, and not cinemas (from what I can tell). Most places list it as a movie, or a TV film, but on animenewsnetwork (at least) it says it's a TV special.

Appreciate you linking the correct manual, though it seems to be the more or less the same rules (just from the correct source, this time).

I do still think relight should be included, because of the added scenes plus it's closer to a retelling from another perspective than just a recap.

Yeah, it doesn't directly mention Death Note but it does mention the format "Recaps are only to be added if the format is different from the original (Example: TV to Movie)". Also, yh it is outdated. I didn't notice the "Last modified 4yr ago" at first, coz it was greyed out at the bottom of the page ?

But it does mention movie recaps in the deletion notification tho, "As recaps are typically not allowed unless they are movie recaps from another format" (Death note being a tv show, relight being a movie).

It must be an accident coz I don't think it goes against the rules. It has different scenes to the original + movie recaps of tv shows are allowed anyways (they even have it listed as an example in the submission manual
