I definitely think Isayama got pressured to change it because of how big SnK became. Definitely would not be a good look if arguably the most popular manga of the 2010's ended with Eren mass genociding the rest of the world. Still doesn't excuse how awful this ending is though, could have made it something not this awful lol

Really good episode but way too much CGI. I'm an avid CGI hater and it makes my eyes bleed but well worth watching for Levi and Mikasa's return.
