I don't, anime has a terrible habit of telling instead of showing and this was a nice change. It's good to see anime actually respect the intelligence of the viewer just a small amount.

It's 100% intentional because it's supposed to portray what is a very awkward situation (post ED-scene is the best example). The first episode really takes it's time and that's what has caught my interest.

Session 9, that doesn't get talked about enough

Misunderstandings being used as a way to forward the plot or create drama. A certain amount of suspension of disbelief is needed when going into any story but this requires us to expect characters to forget the ability to just talk shit out or hold some basic form of communication, its a lazy way of writing.
