I think it was Luluka (Cure Arcana Shadow), personally. Considering she IS a Precure, but just currently working under the Phantom Thieves, this aligns perfectly with someone disappearing. Key word, disappearing, because Phantom Thieves are masters of disguise and know how to keep themselves hidden from the general public. If she's now affiliated with such an organization, it would explain her disappearance. Let's go under the assumption that it's Cure Eclair instead. What would be stopping Jett from easily being able to locate her at a nearby school? I mean he certainly would have seen her civilian form, or at least some record of it, considering that he has the information of the specific date the Star Detective disappeared at.
Another detail is that Luluka's wistful expressions on her face in the opening (and her presence as an ally in the ending) REALLY gives off the impression that she was forced to the Phantom Thieves' side against her will. Probably not physically, but there's definitely some mental barrier that's keeping her feel obligated in staying. In these circumstances, I doubt she'd want to confide in anybody about her whereabouts because she'd be branded as a traitor, or because she has a specific reason to not want to involve anybody she trusts or knows. So that would also help explain the Star Detective's inexplicable disappearance.
I definitely made some leaps in reasoning there and I don't know how this response turned so in depth LOL but yeah that's why I'm really it leaning Luluka that Jett was referring to. I believe that Cure Eclair, as of episode 2, is not yet a cure, and that she'll be the mid season Cure instead
This was an amazing episode, I'm so excited to see where the rest of the series goes especially with Spinel plotting something. However, I've got to say, I'm disappointed that the Friede being alive reveal was this early. I do get that it's an anime aimed primarily at children, so they didn't want to keep the reveal waiting too long, but still I think the placement of it was super questionable. Orio's development from repressing her grief/being unable to move forward because of it to being able to move forward with her head held high had only JUST been cleared this episode. And then to reveal that Friede's alive just a few minutes later just feels.... for a lack of a better word, insulting I guess lol? It's like what was all that character development for, they could have at least waited like 10 more episodes I'd say...
I still liked the episode a lot though! Also, when Friede's voice message came in for some reason I assumed that it was fake and was a trap Spinel was setting. I thought he'd give a location to meet at, and it'd actually be an Explorers ambush lol. But I guess something that crazy wouldn't happen, this is Pokemon after all. But yeah can't wait how this goes forward
@vist you give off creative vibes and i get the feeling you enjoy some creative medium like art/music composition/video editing/etc
ive read some (very few) manga like part of Black Clover, the Wano arc for One Piece, and some miscellaneous Madoka Magica manga chapters but it was so few that i just never bothered adding anything to the manga tab. i also cant really focus well when reading manga and enjoy the anime adaptions a lot more so i cant see this changing either :p
I don't know why I'm getting this vibe but I feel like you'd adore watching Frieren. Although tbh even if I didn't get that vibe I'd still recommend it, its soooo good and I feel like anybody would enjoy it lots
So get this masterpiece off your planning and start it :D
Frieren Beyond Journeys End
@Juphi One Piece on pause :(
Missing out, I entirely get dropping off where you did though, that part of the show was just decent to me haha
Perhaps some of these are not lesser known but I figured I'd share them anyway
-Main character withholding important information and going "It's nothing" when asked about said important information and then it bites everyone in the ass later
-The "comedic relief" of a woman beating up a man for saying something stupid
-Antagonist getting a redemption arc and then instantly dies
-Character going "it's finally over" or something along those lines upon seemingly killing the antagonist, because, obviously, when they say that, the antagonist is still alive
-Important character development scenes between two characters being interrupted by a comedic relief moment of another character
