I 100% agree with you, I'm almost done with the anime (on episode 10) and I'm baffled at the average score it has. At the end of the day, it's other people's opinions so it doesn't really mean shit but still... it's still surprising to say the least.

On another note, I've been reading other people's opinions on this anime and I've seen a surprising amount of people that thought that there would be some romance between Reki and Langa and got disappointed because the shit didn't happen... At no point in the anime did I ever feel like their relationship was heading down that path so I was really confused when I saw people making those comments. I didn't read the manga so maybe what people are talking about was in the manga but as for the anime... you must be on crack if you thought they had romantic feelings for one another, they hung out as bros do imo.
SK8 isn't even a romance anime, I don't see how this anime was "baiting" people.

Note: Just to clarify, I don't think SK8 is a bad anime, I just think that it's not as good as what I've seen other people have been rating it (9s and 10s).
