ona spoiler can ruin an anime?

Even if I see any spoilers about someone or something I'll watch/read the story, to get the context for them.
For example, if I saw the typical spoiler of a character death, besides knowing that, I want to know why, how,...; so I'll keep watching/reading it till I found the answers, It kills the surprise, but feeds the curiosity about what happened to cause that scene.

Also, some spoilers are not that big, so sometimes I forgot about them and I continue watching/reading like I know nothing.
