I'm assuming they're meant to look more similar but for the audiences sake they changed them a bit so we can tell the difference easier. I'd also imagine they're supposed to sound similar but they cant hire the same VA for that much dialogue

If you think Bleach and Dragonball Kai are 10/10's then i think you should keep watching it.
That being said, you're new to anime so look for other shows you might like more, once you've seen a few more come back to it if you want to. There isnt a time limit on watching things
