I was actually really happily surprised at how they portrayed it. Not making a huge deal about her being trans aside from Saki's initial response. Kotaro, despite being a giant (but somehow lovable) asshole has been really great in the last two episodes especially, and I love how he stood up for Lily (and helped out Junko too). The whole thing was seriously really touching and actually made me tear up a little at the end. I can't believe this freaking shitpost of a show made me cry LOL
(Also please please don't use "trap". I know you probably (hopefully) don't mean anything of it but the implications are really disrespectful..)
I get the feeling most of the people angry about this show either approached it thinking it'd be a serious zombie show and/or stray completely away from anything idol-y (even if it's just making fun of it, which people seemed to completely miss?) I'm honestly not sure how anyone could get those impressions seeing as it makes it pretty clear from episode 1 that it's not serious and definitely still about idols.
Like oh shit... there's a generic idol anime-like plot in an anime making fun of idol anime.. I would've never guessed!
I'm with XpCo. Not sure why you would automatically assume any show will be bad just because you disliked a single episode of it. That's kind of a hasty conclusion, especially when you mentioned that you liked the first two episodes so much.
Personally I feel this is the kind of show to watch without giving much thought to the "quality." I don't think episode 3 is a sign that it's going to start talking itself seriously, since theres been pretty big tone changes between episodes so far. And even if it does try to have some semblance of a coherent idol anime style "plot", I still doubt it'll get in the way of the comedy enough to make it outright unenjoyable.
But we'll see I guess! Don't lose hope so quickly.
