I do my ratings as an overall experience. Sure, the beginning was slow because Araki was still figuring out what he was writing but by the 5th or 6th episode it really got rolling.
As a personal experience I remember watching Stardust Crusaders on a long train ride on my laptop and the elderly person next to me looking like they were having a stroke not understanding what I was watching when I got to the part with Polnareff and the toilet licking.
@Tunahan How the hell do Dr. Stone and Dragon Ball Super have the same score?
Random prison guard posted to guard Dorian. It wasn't in the Netflix anime, but on a preview DVD for some Baki anniversary event. Dorian just sneaks up behind him and blows in his ear, and his brain goes gushing out like pressurized jell-o out his other ear in an instant.
Something about that just stuck with me. You're there and then you're gone, just like that, no time to even feel pain or realize you're dying.
Anime seasons are much more different than the seasons of a regular show. Take Ashita no Joe for example, there is a 10 year gap between them and the first arc of season 2 is basically a remake of the last 2 arcs of season 1, not to mention the change in studio.
Anime isn't really planned out like regular shows, they pretty much just decide "we're going to adapt from Chapter X to Chapter Y" and go for it.
