The way some characters were treated in Season 1 made them so forgettable that I thought Ymir and Historia were only introduced in Season 2 and I had to be reminded of the guy who got his ODM Gear stolen (see I forgot already)

Technically not shonen, but I highly recommend Attack on Titan. The action is very well animated and the story keeps you hooked.

If going more strict by the definition of shonen, Jujutsu Kaisen is also a really good choice!
